Once obtained, the treats can be used to decorate a large cake on the Home Table, and the one placed on top of the cake is also used as the starting pedestal for the player's Kirby. Up to three can be won at a time if the player wins an online match or a Gourmet Grand Prix against difficult CPUs, and if more than one is earned at a time, at least one will always be new if the player has not completed their collection yet. Character Treats are awarded to the player after completing Race and Battle Royale games, with more being rewarded for completing Gourmet Grand Prix races, particularly when completing them online or versus tougher CPU opponents.
